Are you a lover of languages who would like to help a worthwhile preservation project?
Our goals are simple, but they require assistance.
We are working on a Bantayanon / English / Cebuano dictionary. We are translating Elementary School textbooks into Bantayanon to be used to teach our children to read in Bantayanon. We are making recordings to be shared with the world of people speaking Bantayanon.
Our goal of $5000 (240,000 PHP) will help cover the following expenses:
• website coding costs to finalize Stage 1 of the interactive dictionary (security, user management, database structure, etc.) by a professional
• expenses involved in transcriptions (encoding) of words for the dictionary, to ensure that the dictionary is correct and as complete as possible
